Routine traffic stop leads to discovery of identity theft ring

A routine traffic stop NW of PC on I-10 ended with the discovery of what police say appeared to be an identity theft ring. Florida Highway Patrol says deputies found multiple hand written ledgers containing personal identification information belonging to a total of 43 possible victims. Two people were arrested and were being held at the Washington County jail on 133 felony identity theft charges. This investigation is ongoing and further charges are expected, police said.
